What Are We Learning?

Each month we will post our Sunday morning lessons for preschool and elementary, so that you can continue the conversation at home!

No matter what the adventure is, it is really important to have a guide, someone who leads the way and someone you can go to when you need help. We want preschoolers to know God gave us a Guide—His Son, Jesus! Jesus teaches me about God’s kingdom. So, this month, we are exploring stories Jesus told to learn how we can help God’s kingdom grow.

God’s kingdom is for everyone who follows Jesus, so let’s remember what Jesus said in Matthew 6:33: “Put God’s kingdom first.” (Matthew 6:33 NIrV). Let’s encourage our preschoolers to do what Jesus says: to use what God gives us to grow, to help others, to forgive, and to never give up on prayer. That’s not always easy, but we can embrace the adventure in that— and our preschoolers can too!

Pray for your parents, caregivers, and small group leaders … that God gives them the wisdom and patience needed to lead little hearts. And pray for preschoolers … that they will learn to listen to Jesus and do what Jesus says because Jesus teaches me about God’s kingdom.

The Gospel Project is a 3-year chronological journey through the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Each weekly session helps kids dive deep into the big story of the Bible—God’s plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus Christ. In September 2024, we started a new cycle of The Gospel Project. We are now in the New Testament! We’d love to have your kids jump in and join us!
